The top can shield the driver from most weather conditions but does not ensure that the driver will be withheld in the vehicle if an accident occurred. The Bestop Safari top comes in two different model styles: one being for Jeep Wrangler models years 1992 through 1995 and models 1997 through 2002. Bestop Safari top installation can be performed by the owner of the vehicle. The top can be purchased from an off-road shop or online website.

Instructions for Jeep Wrangler Models 1992--1995

1. Drape the top over the sport bar on the vehicle. Insert the front of the top into the windshield retainer.

2. Wrap the long web strap that is sewn to the center flap of the top around the horizontal tube of the sport bar. Pull it toward the front of the vehicle.

3. Thread the strap through footman loop. The footman loop is located above the windshield. Pull the end of the strap back and thread it through the buckle on the strap. Be sure not to pull the strap tight.

4. Pull the straps that are sewn to the rear corners of the top toward the rear. Wrap the straps under the seat belt assembly mounts and around the rear sport bar.

5. Pull the strap tight toward the buckles on the straps. Thread the ends of the straps through the buckles and pull them tight.

6. Wrap the loop strips around the sport bar and fasten them to each other using the hooks. Three pairs of loop strips and hooks are located on each side of the top. Be sure that all six hooks and loops are pulled as tight as possible.

7. Wrap the web strap that is sewn to the top at the rear of the door opening (near the center seam of the top) around the horizontal bar and under the vertical sport bar (located at the rear door). Thread the web strap through the buckle and pull the strap tight.

8. Check all the straps on the vehicle. Make sure that the straps are as tight as possible.

For Jeep Wrangler Models 1997—2002:

1. Slide the plastic ridge (located on the upper front of the top) into the windshield channels. Work the top into position all the way across the front of the vehicle. Wrap the loop strips that are located on the front corners of the top around the horizontal bar above the door. Fasten them to each other using the hooks.

2. Drape the fabric over the sport bar with the long tails of the straps that are on the side of the top on the front of the sport bar. Wrap the flap with the long center strap that is located inside the top around the sport bar. Pull the strap toward the windshield. Thread the strap through the footman loop located on the windshield frame. Pull the end of the strap back and through the buckle. Tighten the strap to secure it.

3. Wrap the strap that is sewn to the side of the top around the sport bar. Thread the strap through the buckle on the side of the top. Wrap the loop strips located on the top just in front of the sport bar. Fasten them to each other using the hooks.

4. Slip the two plastic strips that are sewn to the side of the top onto the channel in the door side rail. If the vehicle does not have a door side rail, wrap the inside and outside straps that are sewn to the inside of the top above the door opening around the horizontal sport bar and fasten them to each other using the hooks.

5. Wrap the straps that are sewn to the rear corners of the top around the sport bar and under the seat-belt mounts. Thread the ends of the straps through the buckles and pull tight. Check all the straps on the vehicle. Make sure that all the straps are as tight as possible.

Tips & Warnings:

*It is best to install the Bestop Safari top at temperatures higher then 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures below this can cause the top to contract an inch or two, making it hard to fit the vehicle.

*Because of how the top is packed for shipping, it contracts and becomes wrinkled. The top will relax and the wrinkles will disappear several days after installation.

Read more: How to Install a Bestop Safari Top | eHow.co.uk http://www.ehow.co.uk/how_7330443_install-bestop-safari-top.html#ixzz1XR1zbcfH

Visit: Fender Flares | Bushwacker | 4wheelonline | All about car

How to Install Bushwacker Cut-Out Fender Flares on a Jeep

Bushwacker cutout Fender Flares are compatible with most Jeep models. The flares are ideal for Jeep models with off road packages and aggressive tires. The cutout style adds a custom look to the Jeep. You can complete the installation process in less than a day and with basic tools. The modification creates an open space in the wheel well for extra-large tires.

Things you’ll need to prepare before installing the Bushwacker Cut-Out Fender flares on a Jeep:

* 10 mm socket wrench
* Grease pencil
* Tape measure
* Square
* Reciprocating saw
* Razor blade
* 5/32-inch drill bit
* Torx bit
* Screws

Instructions:

1. Remove the stock fender flare by unscrewing the bolts with a 10 mm socket wrench. The bolts are located on the bottom of the flare and on the inside of the fender. Use your hands to pull the fender flare away from the vehicle.

2. Use a grease pencil to draw a horizontal line from the inside of the fender to the bottom of the headlight. Make a mark on the line at five inches in from the base of the headlight. Use a square to connect the mark on the line to the factory hole in the fender corner. The hole is located above and inside of the mark.

3. Measure 5-and-1/4 inches inside of the base of the door seam and make a mark with the grease pencil. Use a square to draw a line from the mark to the factory hole located on the top corner of the fender. The line will match the line located on the front end of the fender.

4. Use a reciprocating saw to make a cut from the bottom to the top of each line. Cut inward from the exposed edge of the fender to remove the piece of metal on each side of the fender. On the rear side of the fender, use the saw to cut the inner metal using the new edge. The cut must be an exact match of the outer metal.

5. Use a razor blade to trim the splashguard to match the new fender shape. Set the Bushwacker fender flare against the vehicle. Hold the flare in place and use the pencil to mark the locations of the screw holes. The holes are located along the top ridge of the flare. Remove the flare and use a 5/32-inch drill bit to create the holes.

6. Hold the fender flare in place and use a Torx bit on a drill to attach the screws. The screws are inserted through the hole on the flare and into the newly drilled holes on the vehicle body.

Tips & Warnings:

-Make precise measurements before cutting into the vehicle. Take your time with the cuts as they are completed without a guide.

-Do not over tighten the new crews. The screws will strip the metal and create a loose connection.

Read more: How to Install Bushwacker Cut-Out Fender Flares on a Jeep | eHow.co.uk http://www.ehow.co.uk/how_7963609_install-cutout-fender-flares-jeep.html#ixzz1XKsay2Du

Visit: Bestops | 4wheelonline | All about car

Guide on Installing Bestops on Jeeps

Bestops are replacement tops, protective gear, and storage solutions for Jeeps/Autos. It's their dedication to the automotive aftermarket that cause their style and commitment as the high quality products.

Here's Instruction How to Install of Bushwacker Fender Flares:

1. Use a rag and rubbing alcohol to wipe the area along the fenders where the Bushwacker fender flares will be installed. Remove all mud, dirt and/or other debris where you will install the fenders. The alcohol removes the debris and evaporates quickly, leaving a clean, dry surface for the flares.

2. Apply the double sided tape that came with the fender flares to the inside edges of the flares. The tape length should fit exactly with the fender flares. Smooth the tape so that it adheres well to the flares with no wrinkles or bumps. Pull the plastic off the exposed side of the tape and place it on the very edge of the fender, just above the wheels. The flares are made to fit and follow a variety of vehicle shapes and body lines. Press the flare against the fender to make sure it is fully attached.

3. Place the new bolts for the Bushwacker flares through the holes where the previous fender flares were on your vehicle. If you had no existing fender flares, use the self-tapping screws that came with the Bushwacker flares. Place them in the holes through the flares, and screw them through the metal fender with a drill. In this article this will gives an illustrative idea about the parts and components that make a car move.

A simple car has as many as 3000 different components, each of which designed separately to work in perfect coherence with each other. Complicated? Yet an interesting facts!

Let us peek into the ‘black box’ and study a slight more than we already know about vehicle. A vehicle can broadly be seen as comprising of four main sections-

* The engine
* Vehicle Frame
* Covering body (including interiors in case of four wheelers)
* Suspension, brakes & wheels

These sections are further made of millions of small and big components. Thanks to the fact, the auto parts and components industry is a big industry in itself, and is considered separate from Automobiles industry in economic studies and various other practical purposes.

Here are the general parts of the auto:

Engine System
Power Train
Braking System
Steering, Suspension and Tires
Electrical System
Exhaust System
and Other Car Parts

You can read more at Understanding Auto Parts
